With Diablo 3 having been released today, many people have started getting errors either during installation or during logging in. I am going to write a series of posts to try and help people get past these errors. First up is the Diablo 3 Error 12.
This error happens when you select a different region than yours. While in the future it will be possible to play on servers hosted in a different region, at the moment this feature is turned off. The feature known as "Global Play" will be available once the game has been released in all regions.
If you think you have the wrong region selected, here is how to change it:
- When you are at the log in screen, click on options
- Then navigate to the "Account" tab
- Change the region from this page to the correct region
