A list of Diablo 3 Error solutions

This is more of a general post than our previous specific posts. If you have an error that is not listed in this post, try one of our earlier posts listed below:

Now to get to the Diablo 3 Error solutions:

Error 108 - This error can show up if your installation is corrupted or otherwise damaged. This can be caused by closing the downloader early. To fix, re-install the game and wait for the downloader to close on it's own. This error can also show up as "An unexpected decryption error occurred". If you do not want to reinstall the game from scratch, you can try running the downloader and using the same save location as before. This will cause the downloader to scan and download missing files, not sure if it will fix corrupted ones though.

"If your installation disc has been ejected, please reinsert and try again. If not, or if you keep seeing this error, log in to Battle.net and install Diablo III digitally" - This is similar to Error 108 above but applies to digital downloads. To fix it, re-download the downloader and make sure it closes on it's own.

Error 300008 , 3006, 3004, and 3007 - These are connection specific errors and have a number of fixes you can try, as explained over at the official Blizzard troubleshooting page. Here is a short recap of what is written on the Blizzard page:

  1. First check if the server is actually running and not down. You can do this here.
  2. Reset your modem and/or router by turning off their power and leaving them off for 1-2 minutes.
  3. Allow ports 80, 1119, and 6881 to 6999. These ports are used by the game client to communicate with the Battle.Net servers and need to be opened.
  4. Update your windows
  5. Update driver and firmware for your network hardware.
  6. Close all applications that are hogging your internet power such as torrents etc, and uninstall any antivirus just in case they where blocking Diablo 3.

Cannot click on the login button - This happens when you type a username in the incorrect format. Make sure you are typing in the email associated with your Battle.Net account and not your BattleTag.

No License Attached - This happens when you attempt to log in with an account that doesn't have a BattleTag specified. To specify one, simply log into your Battle.Net account and type it in.

Unable to Initalize Streaming - This can be caused by antivirus software on your computer, but can also mean the the Battle.Net server is under heavy load and unable to take you in. Follow the steps listed above for "Error 300008 , 3006, 3004, and 3007" to make sure it is not from your end.

Updating Setup Files - If your client gets suck on while updating setup files you can try the steps listed here and here. A recap is to check if the "Windows Service for Secondary Logon" is enabled. To do so, open Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Services and scroll down until you find the previously mentioned service. Check to see if the "Startup Type" is not set to Disabled. Any other setting is ok.

We hope this list of Diablo 3 Error solutions has helped you get into the game, if not, leave a comment below or ask on the official Diablo 3 forums.
