The Diablo 3 Armory has been up for some time now, and already there is a website scraping data from it. I am talking about DiabloProgress.com, a very cool project that collects data from pretty much all profiles from all regions, and generates tables to compare data. Comparable data includes most dps, most elite kills, most resistances, and a lot more cool stuff. There is also a handy little feature that allows you to follow each player back to his profile on the Blizzard website, so you can see his gear, stats, etc.
As you can probably guess, this collection of data has revealed some very interesting facts about some player's (bots!?) achievements. For example if you go to the Elite Kills - World data, your mind will explode at the top numbers. I am not joking here, some of these players have numbers in the 400,000 ranges! To help you understand just how much this number is, take a look at Athene's profile. Athene is one of the top players in the game and has obviously played a lot, yet his elite kills are just above 8,000! That means the 400,000 guy (his profile can be found here) has killed 392,000 more elites than Athene!

Diablo 3 has been out for 102 days as of writing this post. If you multiply the number of days the game has been out by the number of minutes in each day (102 * 1440) you get 146880 minutes. Now if we divide the number of elite kills by the number of minutes (407178/146880), we get the incredible number of 2.8 Elite kills every minute! Damn, talk about efficiency!
Here is something else that was revealed from the character profiles. Forum poster mcstew has found what appears to be an item duping case, where at least 6 players from the Asian realm are using the same godly offhand item (worth at least 500 million gold!).

Here is a link to each player's armory profile (and guess what? They are all Wizards too)!
The accusations don't stop there however. All of the items have exactly the same gem on them! I find it really hard to believe that this is a coincidence, even more so with the rampant exploits running around in this game. I just hope that Blizzard takes action on such cases unlike in Diablo 2.
If you run into any similar cases yourself, I suggest you either create a new thread or post in the previously linked one to alert Blizzard.
To close things off, here is a video of Kripparian playing around with the character profiles and DiabloProgress:
