Diablo 3 Bestiary

Catalog the horrors of Sanctuary — from trash mobs to the fiercest Uber bosses.

What You'll Find Here

The Bestiary catalogs Diablo 3 enemies, elite packs, keywardens, and bosses. It also documents which legendary items drop from specific creatures, helping players plan their farming routes.

Elite Affix Reference

Elite monsters combine several dangerous modifiers. Knowing how affixes interact is essential for high-MP farming and Inferno progression.

Affix Effect Counter Strategy
Arcane Enchanted Spawns damaging arcane pools Keep moving; avoid stationary zones
Wormhole Teleports players across the map Regroup quickly after displacement
Jailer Roots the player in place Maintain a movement cooldown ready
Fire Chains / Mortar Heavy area denial Use ranged kiting or defensive cooldowns

Keywardens & the Five Acts

Each of the five acts hosts a Keywarden guarding an Infernal Key. Collect all three keys to access the demonic Uber bosses and the organs required for the Hellfire Ring.

Tip: After Patch 1.0.5 increased Monster Power, these keywardens scale with the chosen MP level.

Legendary Drops & Bosses

Many top-tier legendaries come from specific bosses. The Bestiary tracks which monster drops which item so you know exactly where to farm your upgrades.

For theorycrafted DPS estimates against these targets, see the Tools section featuring the Damage Calculator and Witch Doctor Pet Calculator.
